There is truly MAGIC IN THE AIR because the legendary SONICS have been signed to play this year's CAVESTOMP. The idea that these kings of rock and roll are back and playing two shows is almost unbelievable. Would it be too much to hope that they tour the U.S. and the world????

NEW ISSUE OF UGLY THINGS MOMENTARILY
The leading light of the sixties garage zine scene, UGLY THINGS will have a new issue out later this month. Mike Stax deserves 1000 freaking testimonial dinners for the DECADES of work that he has put in editing this great mag. I for one, can't wait to see it.

MILK AND COOKIES ROCK NYC
It was great to see MILK AND COOKIES at the Radio Heartbeat Powerpop Festival and hear the classic songs that we dug at CBs all those years ago and have listened to on dimestores casettes for the past thirty years. NOT ENOUGH GIRLS IN THE WORLD, TINKERTOY TOMORROW, GOOD FRIENDS all sounded great and it was cool of LENNY KAYE to come out and introduce the guys. MILK AND COOKIES MANIA.

THE GREAT RONNIE SPECTOR!!!! THE GREAT MARY WEISS!!!!
It is freakin great to see that in 2007, the giants of FEMALE rock and roll, RONNIE SPECTOR and MARY WEISS are each getting the kind of attention they both so richly deserve. For Ronnie, it is of course, her LONG OVERDUE entrance into the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME with the Ronettes ( in addition to a DAZZLING new album out overseas now and shortly in the states) , and for Mary it is her great new releases on Norton Records. And tonight in Cleveland, is Mary's return to the stage after way too long. The future of rock and roll is in good hands with these fine ladies out there rocking.
